Templeton Roofing, Where Your Roof Matters
Templeton Roofing is Galesburg and the surrounding area’s oldest and most trusted commercial and residential roofing contractor.
Templeton Roofing was established in 1930, and has provided over 90 years of top-quality service and installations. Before Templeton Roofing, Clarence Templeton worked for his Stepfather, Herman Willmering, owner of Willmering Roofing and Paint(Painted Chimney/ Smoke Stacks), who was married to Clarence's mother, Emma Templeton. Clarence worked at Willmering Roofing and Paint until Herman became ill and had to end the business in the late 1920's.
In 1930, Templeton Roofing was started by Clarence and Mary Abby Templeton and continued on until Clarence unexpectedly died in 1955. George Templeton, along with his mother, Mary Abby, ran Templeton Roofing until 1982, when Mary Abby retired. Mary Abby Templeton passed away in 1993. George and Mary Ann Templeton both ran Templeton Roofing until 1999 at which time George and Mary Ann’s son Jack, took ownership. Mary Ann Templeton passed away in April of 2000. George remained active in the business until his death in September 2010.
